NOTE: Shoreline Highway (California State Route 1) toward Muir Beach Overlook may have signs stating the road is closed except to local traffic due to road damage. Continue past the signs. Muir Beach Overlook is open and the road is safe for travel when driven with caution.

Yes, I know it's Mother's Day. Take care of your mother early and come out to trail anyway. Or, better yet, bring your mother with you.
