Hashers and Harriettes,

It's here again, our chance to give back to the SF parks which we all run through.  Saturday, October 11, 2014 is the next volunteer workday at Yosemite Marsh in McLaren Park.  Things begin at 10:00AM and continue until noon.  Normally, I would request that you RSVP to me.  Since the date is already upon us, just show up at the corner of Harvard Street and Bacon Street in the Portola District.  If you have never done this work before get there 15 to 20 minutes early and receive a safety briefing about the tools.  (Mr. TBB) There will be blackberries to attempt to eradicate, so if you have your own heavy gloves, bring them.  Rec and Park will provide gloves and tools  There will be some other easier tasks, so don't bail out just because you bleed easy.

There will be water and light snacks provided by SF Rec and Park.  The weather forecast looks good.  Dress in layers and include long sleeves and long pants if you intend to do battle with the blackberries.  This is an official Hand Pump sponsored event, which means of course there will be BEER.  If you need transportation from BART or other spots, let me know.  ON-ON !!!!
